The Ammo Mama

I am Carly Boulton (also known as Carla Cocktail) a Salt Lake City, Utah native that worked in the service industry for about 14 years, from the local coffee shops to some of the city's most beloved cocktail bars.

I have acquired 3 children in the last 3 years, 1 biological and 2 bonus. Exactly halfway through my pregnancy, we all found ourselves in lockdown. My crafts became my way of making it through challenging and chaotic times.

The idea of The Ammo Mama blossomed after polishing some brass with my husband and he challenged me to make some jewelry out of it. This started very small with a single piece of sandpaper and a polishing rag. Slowly graduating to a Dremel and some more heavy duty hand tools. It has continued to grow and grow since.

I found after giving birth and going through quarantine, how precious time really is and I wanted to be able to hold on to some of my favorite moments. So I learned about resin, keepsakes and the value of hard casting a memory. I found a way to combine it with my new found love of making jewelry. I was so excited about the final product that I wanted to create these keepsakes for others as well.

This has been one of the most creative and passionate journeys! I have been so lucky to have the support of so many friends, family and clients.
